Behavior change is achieved through individual and group psychotherapy, psycho-dynamic psychotherapy and cognitive behavior therapy. Group psychotherapy targets improvement in communication skills, interpersonal relationships and social interactions. Those with mental disorders or those who require detoxification receive appropriate pharmacotherapy. Other essential elements include a structure of daily activities, sports, exercises and the 12 (modified to 9) steps to sobre life. All the above are carried out in a therapeutic community (T.C) set-up.
