MODE OF ADMISSION

Both willing (voluntary) and unwilling (involuntary) clients are admitted. The centre admits both male and female clients aged between 14 and 70 years.

DRESSING CODE

A client should have at least 3 official clothes(Plain trousers and shirts for men, dresses or blouses and skirts for ladies).Others are inner wears, a towel, a pair of shoes, shoe polish, slippers, toothbrush, tooth paste, hair comb and oil. Revealing clothes for ladies dreadlocks, and feminine hairstyles by male clients will not be entertained.

THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY

Positive family participation is essential for recovery and maintenance of sobriety after discharge. The family (significant others) should attend and participate in the family counseling sessions at least once per month or as advised by the counseling psychologist.

VISITING

The sponsor will be required to recommend the sober and positive persons who will be allowed to visit the patient. Visiting takes place on alternate Sundays from 2:00pm – 5:00pm.Please note that visitors will not be allowed during the first two weeks (while the patient is undergoing detoxification/overcoming denial).Patients must not be given money or cigarettes. Brightside is strictly a drug free zone.
